TODO LO QUE NECESITAS SABER SOBRE LOS RETROCOMPATIBLES EN XBOX ONE Y XBOX SERIES

La retrocompatibilidad ha pasado a ser una de las cartas más importantes que Microsoft ha querido manejar durante casi la mitad de la generación de Xbox One. Ahora este legado va a continuar en Xbox Series S/X juntando cuatro generaciones en las mismas consolas, pero la historia puede no terminar ahí.

"Si bien continuamos enfocándonos en preservar y mejorar la forma artística de los juegos, hemos llegado al límite de nuestra capacidad para traer nuevos juegos al catálogo del pasado debido a restricciones de licencia, legales y técnicas. Gracias por ser parte de este viaje con nosotros", expresó Xbox el 15 de noviembre de 2021.

SIN PERDER EL CONTACTO 

Lo bueno es que la retrocompatibilidad no nos deja perder contacto con nuestos amigos, e incluso podremos jugar cualquier retrocompatible con servidores activos con usuarios de las otras Xbox. Por ejemplo, podremos jugar con amigos de Xbox 360 al Black Ops II si estamos en Xbox One o Xbox Series. 

Hay que tener en cuenta que con los juegos de Xbox 360 para invitar a otros jugadores, deberemos abrir la vieja guía de X360 desde el juego. Una vez que estemos en Black Ops II, por ejemplo, presionamos al mismo tiempo el botón Vista y Menú (los dos botones al centro de la mando) para abrir la vieja guñia de Xbox y acceder a un listado de amigos propios, invitar a otros jugadores y más.

CÓMO FUNCIONA EN XBOX SERIES

Xbox Series tiene una retrocompatibilidad casi completa con todos los juegos de Xbox One. Lo único que no será retrocompatible serán los juegos que obligatoriamente funcionen con Kinect, como el caso de algunos juegos de Just Dance. Además de eso, todo retrocompatible que ya funcione en Xbox One correrá sin problemas y con nuevas mejoras en Xbox Series.

En Xbox Series X solamente debemos colocar un disco y empezar el proceso de descarga, mientras que los juegos digitales ya estarían listos para instalarse en nuestra biblioteca. Xbox Series S solo admite formato digital, por lo que dependemos de nuestra colección de juegos digitales.

Al igual que en Xbox One, todos los progresos de cada juego se mantienen mediante una copia en la Nube de Xbox.

Los retrocompatibles en Xbox Series se van a beneficiar de correr en un hardware más potentes dependiendo de la consola, pero veremos funciones como un HDR automatico, incremento en las velocidades de fotogramas si el juego no está bloqueado, una resolución mayor dependiendo del caso, tiempos de carga mejorados o una mejor estabilidad en general.

CÓMO FUNCIONA EN XBOX ONE
 
La retrocompatibilidad de Xbox One que nos permite jugar títulos de Xbox 360 y Xbox Original de forma nativa. Ya sean en formato físico o digital, la consola Xbox One reconocerá los juegos y comenzará a descargarlos en su dispositivo de almacenamiento. Hay más de 600 juegos retrocompatibles disponibles en el programa.

Si tenemos juegos en disco solamente debemos colocar en la lectora de la consola y el resto es un proceso automático. En cambio, si compramos juegos digitales, todos deben aparecer en Listo para instalar. En caso de que hayas comprado juegos retrocompatibles desde otras regiones debes tener la consola ubicada en dicho país.

FUNCIONES Y MEJORAS EN XBOX ONE

Los retrocompatibles de Xbox 360 mantienen gran parte de sus funciones disponibles: Logros, Multijugador (si los servidores siguen abiertos), acceso a contenidos descargables y el guardado de progresos mediante la Nube de Xbox. Inclusive gracias a la Xbox One podremos grabar vídeos y sacar captutas, o han sido mejorados para Xbox One X a mayores resuluciones. Consultar la web de Xbox para más detalles.

Aunque hay decenas de juegos de Xbox Original disponibles en el programa, muchos de ellos no cuentan con un multijugador online activo debido a que los servidores para estos juegos ya no funcionan.Sin embargo, podremos jugar mediante LAN y cooperativo local si los juegos cuentan con las opciones.
